News on Network Performance in User Space and Kernel

According to my colleague, his Linux kernel networking work reached 10Gbit/s full TX wirespeed smallest packet size on a single CPU core (14.8Mpps). Note, this test didn’t seem to use TCP or UDP.

At approximately the same time, BBC also achieved 340,000 packets per second into 4 Gbps ultra-high definition streams.
